Albert L. Weintraub

Albert L. Weintraub – has provided legal services to foreign and domestic clients in complex financial and foreign trade transactions, involving the representation of governmental entities including State, Municipalities, and Foreign Governments. He has represented various international institutions, joint ventures and specialized entities in their business transactions. As City Attorney and Assistant City Attorney, he has been a public official for 5 municipalities in Florida, drafted specialized legislation (i.e. The Medical Examiner Act), successfully litigated the end of the ATT telephone monopoly in the State of Florida and created many of the current Municipal charters in Miami-Dade County Florida Mr. Weintraub was the founder and Chairman of the Board of Microtel, Inc. and during numerous mergers and acquisitions, the company became the predecessor company of WorldCom, Inc. Mr.Weintraub served on the Board of Directors of WorldCom, Inc. until 1992. He is a former Director of Herzfeld (Cuba) Caribbean Fund, Inc. and present Chairman of the Board of Directors of e-lysium Transaction Systems Inc and Senior Management Director of VIA International Ltd., ae.
